Stainless steel 310 is a medium carbon austenitic stainless steel, for high temperature applications such as furnace parts and heat treatment equipment. It is used at temperatures up to 1150°C in continuous service, and 1035°C in intermittent service. Its high chromium and nickel contents provide comparable corrosion resistance, superior resistance to oxidation and the retention of a larger fraction of room temperature strength than the common austenitic alloys like Type 304.
Stainless steel 410 is a basic martensitic grade which contains 11.5% chromium, offering both exceptional wear and corrosion resistance. 410 is generally used for applications which involve mild corrosion, high strength, and heat resistance.

17-4, also known as 630 stainless, can be heat treated to high levels of strength and hardness, and good for machining and is corrosion resistant. Often used in petroleum and chemical industries, as well as in aircraft parts.
