303 Stainless machines well and cuts clean and maintains it resistance to corrosion in temperatures up to 1500 degrees F. Good applications include repeat machining, fittings and fasteners.
Grade 302 is a slightly higher carbon version than 304. 302 stainless steel is an extremely tough, ductile grade that demonstrates superior corrosion resistance. It is a non-magnetic grade that is not hardenable by heat treating. It is generally used in the annealed condition and is noted for its ease of fabrication and formability.
17-7 stainless steel is a stable, chromium-nickel-aluminum precipitation hardened stainless steel that provides high strength and hardness, excellent fatigue properties, moderately resistant to corrosion, good formability, and minimum distortion upon heat treatment.
330 is an austenitic nickel-iron-chromium alloy metled as AOD melt type. This grade is comprised of approximately 36% nickel giving it excellent high temperature oxidation resistance up to 2200oF. 330 stainless remains fully austenitic at all temperatures and is not subject to embrittlement from sigma formation. It has a solid solution composition and is not […]
