Stainless steel 410 is a basic martensitic grade which contains 11.5% chromium, offering both exceptional wear and corrosion resistance. 410 is generally used for applications which involve mild corrosion, high strength, and heat resistance.
Greek Ascoloy is a hardenable chromium-nickel-tungsten martensitic alloy. This alloy is an extremely deep hardening grade used for application where high resistance to tempering and stress-corrosion cracking are desired. It also has a superior creep strength, resistance to tempering with the properties of the standard chromium grades of stainless steel.
Stainless 422 is a hardenable, martensitic stainless steel with better strength at higher temperatures as high as 1200 F. It is capable of being heat treated to various high strength levels.
Stainless steel 430 is a ferritic, straight chromium, non-hardenable grade, combining good corrosion resistance and formability characteristics with useful mechanical properties. Its ability to resist nitric acid attack permits its use in specific chemical applications but automotive trim and appliance components represents its largest fields of application. Alloy 430 has poor weldability compared to most […]
431 stainless steel is a martensitic stainless steel that is AOD melted. This alloy offers the best corrosion resistance of the conventional martensitic stainless grades. This grade is often used in the aerospace industry as fittings and boltings requiring high yield strength. Stainless 431 also has the best corrosion resistance to marine atmospheres, also resists attack […]
Stainless 446 is a high chromium ferritic heat resistant alloy with a high resistance to oxidation, sulfidation and other forms of hot corrosion. It has a high ductile-to-brittle impact transition temperature. 446 is the only heat resistant alloy that will tolerate molten copper and brass.
Stainless steel 455 is a martensitic, age-hardenable alloy yielding strength characteristics that are roughly 3 times the strength of standard 304 stainless. 445 resists staining in normal atmospheres and shows no corrosion in fresh water, good ductility and toughness. This alloy is extremely stable during heat-treating making it able to be machined to close tolerance […]
465 Stainless steel is a premium melted, martensitic, age-hardenable alloy with excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, fracture toughness and excellent notch tensile strength.
2205 is the most widely used duplex stainless steel grade that combines the beneficial properties of nearly equal portions of both ferritic and austenitic steels. The inclusion of chromium and molybdenum gives this stainless steel excellent corrosion resistance as well as resistance to stress corrosion cracking and ensures high strength.
