Delrin® Acetal is a highly-crystalline engineering thermoplastic used in high load mechanical applications. It is characterized by its high strength, hardness and rigidity to −40 °C. Found intrinsically opaque white, due to its high crystalline composition, but it is available in all colors.
Nylon is a generic designation for a family of synthetic polymers, based on aliphatic or semi-aromatic polyamides. Nylon is a thermoplastic silky material that can be melt-processed into fibers, films, or shapes. It is made of repeating units linked by amide links similar to the peptide bonds in proteins.
Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene is the standard for engineered polymers with a unique combination of wear and corrosion resistance, low friction surface and impact strength. Excellent resistance to chemical attack and moisture absorption, outstanding abrasion resistance and a low coefficient of friction.
Polyether ether ketone is a colorless organic thermoplastic polymer.
Lexan has better insulation properties than glass and is inherently high impact making it an excellent candidate for glazing for economical protection against breakage or intrusion. Opaque sheet options combine for ease of thermoforming or cold forming.
ABS-Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styreneis an opaque thermoplastic that possesses a diverse combination of properties. ABS has perhaps the best balance of properties when cost is a factor. It has good chemical and stress-resistance as well as a combination of toughness, rigidity and creep resistance. Easily machined with high impact strength, and good resistance to chemical and […]
Acrylic is a clear thermoplastic with about 92% transparency, making it useful in many optical applications. Unaffected by moisture it is also a good electrical insulator for low frequencies and has very good resistance for weathering. Acrylics are typically made by one of three processes, extrusion, continuously manufactured and casting.
